Several Years ago I began an intensive search for a contractor that could build my retirement home in east Tennessee. After an extensive evaluation of over twenty contractors well known to the Tellico/Kahite communities, I selected Rick Hessick and his firm, BR2 Builders. Now, with a major home build, and some additional remodeling completed, I can vouch that my decision was right on the money.

Rick and his staff have been excellent people to work with. From the initial design phase, through all the stages of construction and subsequent follow-up on open items, the BR2 team has been professional, on-time, and meticulous in their work. If something wasn’t quite up to my expectations, there was no haggling or discussion about language in the contract. Rick simply made it right. If you are looking for a builder who will listen to what you think you want and then produce it better than you could imagine, I strongly recommend Rick Hessick. After building 4 houses, I thought I knew it all, but Rick had suggestions that were incredible. And when I thought of a way to get my oversized refrigerator pushed back into the bathroom behind so it wouldn’t stick out past the counters, Rick listened and agreed. He is creative, imaginative, and so easy to work with. Anyone can build a house, but Rick creates your dream home.

When we bought our lot in beautiful East Tennessee, we started looking for a builder and six years later, we are grateful that we found BR2. They built our home on time and on budget (we of course changed the budget a time or two), and the thing that amazed us was that they were so gracious and accommodating all the way through.
